स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत यह मेरा सपना है

स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा सपना है
स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा अपना है

तन भी साफ़, मन भी साफ़
हो लोगों का जीवन साफ़
स्वच्छ भारत, स्वस्थ भारत
यही मेरी कल्पना है

स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा सपना है
स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा अपना है

मन में आस, मन में विश्वास
जहाँ देवो का हो वास
'स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत'
यही मूल मंत्र जपना है

स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा सपना है
स्वच्छ सुन्दर भारत मेरा अपना है

जहाँ धरती माँ हो हरी भरी
जहाँ नदियों का जल हो निर्मल
जहाँ स्वच्छता का हो आभास
और सब कुछ लगे ख़ास
मुझे उस भारत में बसना है
वह भारत मेरा अपना है

I had written this poem around Independence day.  Those who know me can understand how I feel about this cause. I, along with my friends had taken up Cleanliness Drive in our building three years back against all odds and transformed the surroundings. We still do periodic follow up. There is plenty to do and if we all do a little bit we will create the most beautiful world around us. It extends towards spirituality. From cleaning outside to our inner-selves.
